Pompeii & Vesuvius
Pompeii is one of the most fascinating attractions that Italy has to offer. An ancient village buried and perfectly preserved by an eruption of Mount Vesuvius, excavations of the site have revealed buildings, artwork, an amphitheatre and much more. Duomo of Naples
Naples’ Duomo, or cathedral, dates back to the 13th century and displays an elaborate interior of hand-painted frescoes and intricate bronze altar pieces. Its most famous acquirement however, is a vial of St. Januarius’ blood – which is said to liquefy on certain dates each year.
